I am costuming a play and it is based in the late 1800′s. There is a masked ball and I am trying to think of characters to put my characters in as? I did think of greek gods/goddesses, Ceasar…but ??? who else would work?

I am trying to make an authentic victorian suit for halloween but I need to find a sewing pattern for it. I have already looked up Joann’s fabrics, Simplicity, McCall’s, and every other website where I type up "sewing patterns for medieval clothing". Does anyone know any kind of websites where you can find patterns for victorian or medieval costumes?

I am looking for Victorian Era Clothing so that I can make us the clothing for my own Vampire Lestat costume.

Theatrical costumes?

I live in the UK and need some Dickensian to late Victorian costumes for a stage production, and I was wondering if there were any online shops that sell really good quality items, such as coats, gloves, waistcoats, etc., and deliver out. I don’t want any ‘party costumes’, and they’re all for men and older boys.

Unfortunately, the project is due really soon, leaving me with very little time to work out. I’m supposed to be representing the working class (nearly impoverished) in Victorian society and I really don’t what how to stitch up a costume soon. My sewing machine is broken, but I can sew pretty well and quickly. I just need ideas on on how to make a quick costume and what kind of fabric is best to use.

I need one in less than a month for a tea party at my school. I need a larger size and I’ve looked on ebay and lots of costume shops but they are either extremely expensive or they sell southern belle costumes which are not quite right for the tea party. Any ideas where I might be able to find a costume? I’ve looked at local boutiques in yahoo local search but none that have what I need.

Help on a DIY victorian-era halloween costume?

I’m making a sort of Lolita/Victorian/Harlot-ish costume for myself, and I need help with costume pieces. I don’t want it to be too sleazy, but a bit sexy, nonetheless. I want to keep it as cheap as possible, but it still needs to look good. Think sort of the dancer’s coustumes from Moulin Rouge (the movie) or the music video for The Killer’s Mr. Brightside. Thanks!

I want an authentic Victorian costume, but can’t seem to find anywhere that goes into detail about what exactly women wore and in what order. I’m looking around the 1870′s-1880′s style. Google is being mean to me at the moment…. Any suggestions?

Where can I find a cheap Victorian Era Costume?

My friend and I are going to be recording The Phantom of the Opera with other people and she’s Christine. We all have our costumes except her because we CAN NOT find a dress that is less to 0. We don’t have 0. Is there any site where I can find a dress for under 0?
