I’m doing a victorian vampire costume this year i’ve got a red corset long black skirt black gloves and a mini top hat i have shoulder length dark blonde hair and can’t decide how to fix it. i don’t want to wear a wig but i do have some red and black spray from last year. i wasn’t sure if i should leave it blonde an maybe put some streaks or do it all black and if i shoul do it up or down. i kinda think it looks better down with the hat but idk. i’m entering a contest and want it to look really good.

Is the Simplicity 4092 Misses Victorian Costume pattern easy to sew? A friend and I each need a costume for the 1830′s-ish. We can’t spend that much money on fabric. We know someone who could make it, but we need the dresses soon. If it is to hard to sew, please suggest another pattern or costume. Thanks.

Okay, so my budget is pretty much unlimited, although I wont use ridiculously expensive fabrics (like a yard is the most). I am extremely competent with a sewing machine and can make pretty much anything if I set my heart to it. Okay, so I want to make a victorian costume for Halloween. I want something similar to Sweeney Todd or a stylized Jack The Ripper. I want it to kind of have that stiff gothic look, but still be a little fun looking. Any ideas for pieces, fabrics, etc? Pictures will be great. I was thinking about doing pants, shirt, vest, and overcoat.
